I. LifeRoad Schoolof Church Music
The Church Music Department of the Hong Kong LifeRoad Theological Seminary has a campus in Guangzhou, China under the name of "LifeRoad School of Church Music" to train Chinese Christian music culture and worship music leaders, based on the requests of the times. It is the purpose and vision of “LifeRoad School of Church Music” to realize the revival of the Chinese church, the restoration of worship, and missionary work by the leaders of the praise ministry, which combines spirituality and musicality, to play a leading role in leading the Chinese church music culture.
II. Program Introduction
The Master of Church Music (M.C.M.) is designed to provide essential musical training integrated with focused study in church music ministry. Additionally, the degree provides a strong foundation in biblical and theological studies. Currently, M.C.M. program is available only in Chinese language. In general, it takes minimum 2 years (4 semester, 45 units) to complete the M.C.M program.
1. Theology classes: The O.T. and N.T. Survey, Systematic Theology, Worshipology, Missiology, Christian Education, Christian Counseling, Religion and Cult
2. Humanity classes: English, Music Therapy, Physical Education, Acoustics, Writing and Discussion, Philosophy
3. Music classes: Music Theory, Music Poetry, Foreign Language Diction, Choir Literature, Classical Music Class, Instrumentalism, Church Music
