Master of Divinity

The training you need to live your calling, wherever God calls you.

HKLTS tailors its courses to prepare you for ministry in the context of the church you serve. The purpose of the Master of Divinity program is to produce ministers who are aware of the needs of the local church and are able to meet those needs.

In addition to the general Master of Divinity program, we also offer the Master of Divinity in Christian Education concentration, which is designed to equip pastors to serve the local church as pastors who train the next generation, Sunday school teachers, and church leaders.

Mode of study

The M.Div program has three modes of instruction. The program is taught in a hybrid format, which means that you can take classes on site, via Zoom, and online. Depending on your location and security, there may be more of one or the other.

The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is a professional graduate degree in theology and ministry pursued by individuals seeking to become ordained clergy or to work in various leadership roles within church. The M.Div. program provides a comprehensive education in various aspects of religious studies, theology, pastoral care, and practical ministry skills.
